You've made it to October. If you are new to the program, you have already struggled with the "Why did I think I wanted to do this?" question. If you are continuing in the program, you have probably also struggled with the "Why did I think I wanted to do this?" question.
You wanted to do this for lots of reasons -- as a personal challenge, to continue learning, to take time to reflect on your work, to be a part of a community of scholars, to create knowledge, to get to wear incredibly fashionable regalia... You know why you started.
It's okay to question. It's okay to not always have the answers. You can do this. You were admitted to the program because the faculty felt confident you could be successful in the program. Take a deep breath and stretch.
Leat me know if you need to talk. OR, lean on your peers in the program. You are not the only one who might have questions or need a bit of a break. Honest.
And after that, get back to work!
